Important message to firewall users:  WinPik will attempt to access the internet because of a WinPik Help link to our online web support page.  You may grant the request or deny it and access the page from your browser at the supplied address in your help file.  WinPIk depends on the Microsoft HTML Help Workshop for internet access.

Installation instructions: 

If you are upgrading from ver. 1.0 rev 11 or earlier, it is recommended that you uninstall the old version before installing the new one.  Open the Control Panel "Add/Remove Programs" and select "WinPik". You may upgrade from rev. 12 or later by downloading the upgrade (215KB).

After download completes, run winpik12.exe.  It will unzip and install automatically.

You may be told that setup cannot continue because of out-of-date system files.  Choose to update the system files.  You will be required to reboot your computer and run setup again.   Windows ME Users:  If after rebooting you continue to receive this message you will need to install the system files manually.  Contact support@berkeleydesigning.com for more information.

You may receive warning: File in use.  Choose "skip" or "ignore" and continue the install.

You may receive a message that an existing file is newer.  Choose "yes" to keep newer file.

If you have NT or Windows 2000, and are having an installation permissions problem, log in as the Administrator on the local machine and run setup.

After WinPik installs, it can be started from Start->Programs->berkeley design studio->WinPik.
